1986 Figures

Anything could be a toyline in the 1980's.

As Federal advertising guidelines changed, animated series could be created with the sole intention to sell toys. The first major one was He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, but afterward, every company tried to capture that lightning with an animated series and a toyline.
Kenner attempted it with Chuck Norris. The toys were gone after one year (with an unproduced second year of items), and the animated series ran only five episodes. Still, we can enjoy the figures for what they are - another solid entry in the "Kennerverse" of animated-styled five-inch figures (see also: Real Ghostbusters, Bill and Ted, Silverhawks, etc).                      - John Kent
